Power Quality
9:00 am-5:00 pm
This seminar provides an in-depth review of the most common power quality problems on utility and end-user electrical distribution systems. Topics to be discussed include the causes and effects of transient disturbances, voltage sags, swells, interruptions, flicker, and harmonics. Discussion will include details on the typical characteristics of these types of power disturbances. A brief discussion on the different commercially-available solutions to the power quality problems discussed is also included. Different methodologies for identifying and rectifying power quality problems, including the planning and performance of power quality surveys, will also be covered.
Please note: Due to Convention Center Space availability, we will be holding the Sunday, October 23, 2005 Professional Advancement Courses (PAC) at the Wyndham Inner Harbor Hotel.
