Sunday, October 23 PAC 18 Technical Marketing in the Electronic Era 2:00 pm-6:00 pm The role of marketing in business-to-business is the same as it has always been but the tools we have at our disposal and the methods we have to track effectiveness have undergone enormous change. Traditional elements of the marketing communications program (advertising, direct mail, public relations, tradeshows....) have been supplemented and often eclipsed by these new tools (websites, electronic newsletters, webinars, virtual tradeshows, search engines....). The challenge of every technical marketing practitioner is to combine these tools, new and old, to peak effectiveness. We marketers are also being challenged as never before by our top management to provide justification for our investments. This workshop will provide marketing practitioners with useful and effective insights. Attendees will be encouraged to actively participate by bringing their experiences and specific problems.
