What Does OSHA and NFPA Have To Do with Electronics and Power Quality
8:30 am-9:30 am
The NFPA and OSHA figure very prominent in Power Quaity and Electronics. The NEC is very important in keeping the equipment running and Power Quality at a premium. A poor installation leads to power failures, fires, and equipment malfunctions. Poor grounding is a major contributor to these problems. OSHA rules are very important, as a dead technician can ruin a whole day! All the best equipment in the world is as good as the worse equipment if it is not installed correctly or is misused. A company that is concerned about the well being of its employees will attract and keep key employees. Being concerned with grounding and a good electrical installation is probably the most important step to Power Quality. They go together.
